High precision borosilicate glass beads (+/- 0.05 mm) are ideal for various laboratory applications.

The default surface roughness: 0.6 - 0.7 μm. Etched surfaces are also available on a customized basis upon request.

In-stock sizes: 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, and 6 mm.
Customizations are available for all other sizes below 3 mm and above 8 mm with a minimum order volume of 1 kg/2.2 lb. -
Laboratory borosilicate glass beads 3mm with polished and/or etched surfaces are frequently used for DNA/RNA-related applications.

Borosilicate glass is known for its coefficient of linear thermal expansion within (3.3 ± 0.1) × 10-6/K. It is a special glass material with a low expansion rate, high-temperature resistance, high mechanical strength, high light transmittance, and high chemical stability. Due to its excellent performance, it is widely used in solar energy, chemical industry, pharmaceutical packaging, electric light source, laboratory applications, and other industries.
In addition to the excellent performance of the borosilicate glass material, our borosilicate glass beads are highly spherical in shape and highly precise in size. Through repeated polishing and lengthy processing, these beads are nearly perfectly uniform. This is vitally important, as many applications require high reproducibility. Wide size distributions, strange shapes, and unstable light transmissions always inevitably lead to unreliable results. This is exactly the reason that we keep our borosilicate glass beads consistently uniform in shape and size from batch to batch.
